Artist Biography
Andrea Parton is a Canadian multi-disciplinary artist based out of Calgary, Alberta. She is the founder and creative force behind Little Sister Studio, a home based business supporting her Mural work.
Born and raised in Alberta, she spent much of her childhood growing up in and around the Rocky View area, before pursuing post secondary edu
Andrea Parton is a Canadian multi-disciplinary artist based out of Calgary, Alberta. She is the founder and creative force behind Little Sister Studio, a home based business supporting her Mural work.
Born and raised in Alberta, she spent much of her childhood growing up in and around the Rocky View area, before pursuing post secondary education and training at the Alberta University of the Arts (AUArts). Her work is largely informed by the dramatic skies, mountains, and surrounding forests that have been her playground through childhood, exploring light, contrast and patterns that layer into colourful, expressive, abstract landscapes.
Visually, her work reflects a deep fascination with nature and the interconnected patterns created by organic form. Other influences to her work include spirituality and her personal meditation practice.
She currently resides in Calgary, creating work in her home studio, live painting at markets, and transforming spaces with her free hand wall murals.
